Thirty four weeks down...

This week has been good fun, although, I think at the start of week, especially, I was falling out of love with Sydney a little. I've now been here over 7 months now, so I think its time to think about a change of scenery even if its just for the weekend...

Monday after work I ended up staying in with the roomie with a bottle of wine and lasagne while watching movies.

Tuesday was one of my housemates leaving do so we headed down to The Larder in the wharf for some food which was great. It was a little bit like tapas. There wasn't much choice but the food was amazing. I had cheese Souffle, Steak and chips which was sooo delicious!

Thursday I headed to salsa training which was really hard work as we had spinning drills and had to keep doing it over and over again! Afterwards I headed to Latin Junction's salsa evening at Jam Gallery Nightclub which was fun. I only stayed there for an hour or so then headed back home.

Once I got home the housemates talked me into going to The Ivy nightclub, although, it was 12am at night and I knew I had to get up at 6am, I decided to go out anyway! You only live once right?!

Even though I had all of 4 hours sleep I managed to go to work the next day, even though I looked like a zombie!

Friday evening I headed to The Tilbury just down the road from the apartment to meet an old work colleague. It was so much fun we had lots of mojitos and got very drunk. It was also nice to meet her friends who were all lovely.

Saturday afternoon the roomie and I headed into town to get a few bits of shopping. We then headed back to the apartment to get ready for our house party for our house mate's 30th birthday. There was about 50 or so people. It was a good night, although, last weeks house party was so good that it was hard to match up to it!

After having 4 hours sleep we headed to Bondi Beach as the weather was amazing. I still can't get over that its almost winter, but the weather is better than that in England and it's meant to be summer there!

Afterwards I headed back to get ready for salsa training that evening. It was good practice as usual, especially, as it's not long now!! Check out the video... please note we made a few mistakes and couldn't do any of the lifts as the ceiling is too low!

I hope you guys had a good week too.

Keeping you posted.

Thirty three weeks down...

This week has been pretty hectic and all the while surviving on $20 until pay day which wasn't until Thursday, so I managed to do well!

On Monday I decided to miss salsa as I only had $20.00 dollars left for the week.

Tuesday after work some of the housemates and I went to the Passage in Darlinghurst. It has 50% off and $10 cocktails on Tuesdays so we ordered various plates and split them between us. The food was amazing there, especially, the Arancini and Parmesan and Truffle Chips were to die for!!

Wednesday after work I went out with one of the housemates who works at wicked travel/Indie travel. We started at Indie travel where there was free goon (very cheap wine!), and played games (well I watched!) such as manikins where people had to dress the 'manikin' with their clothes, basically, a game to get everyone to take their clothes off!

We then headed to Lguana Bar where they have $3 drinks, free pizza and prize draws. It was brilliant they played lots of RnB and hip hop so everyone was dancing away. I ended up getting to bed at 2am which made getting up for work very hard!

On Thursday after work I headed to my friends 30th Birthday dinner at AKIs Indian restaurant. It was great to have all the housemates there. I'm not partially a fan of Indian food but it was tasty but a little too rich, I had buttered chicken with rice. The restaurant itself is in a perfect location and had a great view of the wharf, even if it was a bit pricey.

On Friday we had one of our housemates leaving do so we had a house party at ours. I really wasn't in the mood for it at all but it turned out to be a great night.

Saturday we ended up getting up at lunch time! The weather was sooo nice and really hot, even though, it's almost Winter (very weird!!). Some of the housemates and I sat on the balcony drinking wine and sunbathing.

We then decided to head to Baia in Darling Harbour for dinner. We had the lunch menu which was steak and chips, sparkling wine and a hot drink all for $20.00. It was really good value and the food was perfect for a hangover cure!

On Sunday we went to brunch at Sienna Marina Brasserie, I had eggs benedict and a strawberry milkshake. I have to admit that I didn't think the food was very good especially as it was pretty expensive for what I had.

I then headed to dance training in the evening. I thought I might be rusty after missing two classes but surprisingly I could remember most of it!

Throwback Thursday... Hamilton Island...

In the early hours I flew out of Melbourne and headed straight to Hamilton Island.

The Island its self is situated very close to the Whitsundays so you can do day trips there. Hamilton Island has everything you could want. It has lots of restaurants and shops and even a night club.

Before the clients arrived the other staff members and I were met by one of the Island staff members and shown around the Island in a golf buggy which was a lot of fun.

After making sure all the clients were all checked in we headed for the beach which was stunning. That night we ended up eating at an Italian restaurant called Romanos. I had chicken with Prosciutto which was delicious.

The next day we did our morning duties and then headed to the beach. We went to Sails Steak and Seafood Grill restaurant in the evening. I had a Caesar salad which was yummy. The cocktails there were also amazing wand they went straight to my head!

In the morning, before meeting the clients, we went to the Wildlife restaurant in the zoo for breakfast. You can also hold a koala so we had our pictures taken, while holding them.

In the afternoon, after we did our work duties, we went and got a golf buggy to go around the Island. We all had a go at driving although they weren't very fast!

On our last evening we headed to the Thai restaurant called Coca Chu which over looked the beach. It was a gorgeous location and the food was Superb, although, a little pricey.

The next day we woke up and packed ready to vacate and on to our next destination.

Part 5 coming soon...Sydney...
